Principal Message

It has been a busy time here at LES…..we began Kindergarten registration for the 2018-19 school year last week. If you know of a family with an incoming TK or K child who has not yet registered, please have them call the office….thank you!  A week ago Friday we had two school wide assemblies focusing on our character education program: CHARACTER COUNTS! Our P.T.A. generously sponsored “The Character Show” with Obediah Thomas….along with audience participation by our own Lafayette Leopard students!

P.T.A. Meeting and Parent Education tonight! We are looking forward to a very brief P.T.A. meeting tonight at Stanley Middle School (Room 407) at 6:00 p.m. Following the P.T.A. meeting there will be a parent education presentation about our Math practices in the Stanley Library. We are proud that two of our teachers, Katy Motes and Emma Carella will be presenting this evening. Please see below for more details.

Traditionally on Martin Luther King Day, people are encouraged to take time to perform community service. A big THANK YOU to the kind Lafayette Leopards who took it upon themselves to come to last Monday and do an impromptu campus clean-up! I am so proud of you!

Have a wonderful week!
